TITLE - Optimized Care: Advances in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis

TARGET AUDIENCE - Target audiences for this program are Specialty Pharmacists, Pharmacists, Clinical Pharmacists, Specialty Pharmacy executives, Pharmacy Directors, Chief Pharmacy Officers, and Neurology Pharmacists

LEARNING OBJECTIVES - After completing the program, Specialty Pharmacists, Pharmacists, Clinical Pharmacists, Specialty Pharmacy executives, Pharmacy Directors, Chief Pharmacy Officers, and Neurology Pharmacists

  1. Review the mechanisms of action of available and emerging multiple sclerosis (MS) therapies as well as implications for treatment selection
  2. Describe the efficacy and safety of current MS therapies and available data on investigational therapies
  3. Understand perspectives on MRI and clinical findings that may prompt consideration of switching MS therapy
  4. Identify a personalized treatment and management plan for MS patients based on type of MS, clinical presentation, treatment response and side effects
  5. Discuss the importance of treatment adherence and common barriers among MS patients

Specialty Pharma Education Center (SPEC) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education. This program is approved for 1.5 hours (0.15CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit. Proof of participation will be posted to your NABP CPE profile within 4 to 6 weeks to participants who have successfully completed the post-test. Participants must participate in the entire presentation and complete the course evaluation to receive continuing pharmacy education credit.
